An armchair with a dark walnut frame, wrapped on its exterior in continuous rows of hand-woven banana fibre. The inside is upholstered in linen with a back cushion. The banana fibre forms a tight, even shell around the outside of the frame — warm in texture, structural in character.

Indoor piece. The linen upholstery can be spot-cleaned with a damp cloth. The banana fibre exterior should be dusted regularly and kept away from moisture. The dark walnut finish can be lightly buffed with a dry cloth.

The exterior of the chair is wrapped by artisans in Bagru in continuous rows of banana fibre rope — a slow process that builds the shell one row at a time. The interior is upholstered separately. Banana fibre is extracted from the stalks of the banana plant and processed by hand before weaving.
