Dense, ground-level, quietly warm — a coastal grass that weaves into one of the most durable outdoor surfaces we use.
Seagrass grows close to the ground in coastal areas, dense and flat. When dried and woven, it becomes one of the toughest outdoor surfaces in natural-fibre furniture — resilient, smooth-textured, and warm-toned.

Seagrass is harvested, dried, and twisted into a yarn that weavers work flat and tight, woven directly onto powder-coated wrought iron frames. The resulting surface is denser and more abrasion-resistant than most natural fibres — which makes it well-suited for seat surfaces and low furniture that takes direct contact.
The natural colour ranges from warm straw to a slightly greener tone depending on the harvest season. It softens slightly with use without losing structure.

Seagrass handles UV exposure, outdoor humidity, and foot traffic better than most natural fibres. It dries quickly after rain and doesn't swell significantly.
It performs well fully outdoors in most climates — and in coastal or very wet environments, we recommend bringing pieces under cover during extended rain.
